Ever since the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, I’ve had a fever… and the only cure is more turn-based combat games. But I’ve been hoping for something a little bit different than your standard high fantasy game. Sure - magic and hot demons are undeniably amazing, but I also want to play something with AKs and grenades too. So when I heard about this new game called Classified France 44, my interest was immediately piqued.
Classified France 44 is a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements, set in World War 2 era France. You control a team of black ops soldiers on a top secret mission to aid the French resistance and pave the way for D-Day. Throughout your journey you will rescue and recruit a variety of resistance fighters with different skills, embark on missions to sabotage the Nazi war effort, and liberate territory throughout France.
It’s kind of got Wasteland vibes but with a World War 2 setting - not a post-nuclear apocalypse.
