192This is an arrangement of "Clock Tower," a theme from Konami’s 2003 Game Boy Advance game Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. I have arranged the song for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES deck.
Man, Castlevania music is so good. All of it! This was one that I thought might sound better if it weren't stuck on the GBA, so I figured, why not give it a shot? The background video is footage taken from my playthrough of Dracula X on the SNES.
While doing this, I also realized something that amused me quite a bit. The SNES has 64K of memory to use for audio playback. The computer that I made this on has 64GB of ram. That's 1,000,000x the amount of memory! Hahaha, what a wonderful and absurd thing the march of progress can be.
