Last week I visited ToadsWoot and during our run we accidentally discovered a simple yet powerful detail about reuniting. While the main Link reunites back to the secondary Link he can carry the other player and can trigger the screen transition this way.
This is used here to clip past the door as this stage only offers one boomerang for SBA.
However, initially this room is locked upon watching the cutscene. For no known reasons though defeating player 1's phantom unlocks it so this is why Toad fights Phantom Ganon first and then we clip behind the door and leave. This is rather unoptimal and could probably be improved.
