Code Vein is an action role-playing game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian setting with vampire themes, including "gifts" from the consumption of blood, and other supernatural abilities. It was released on September 26, 2019.

Code Vein is an action role-playing game set in an open world, post-apocalyptic dystopian environment and played from a third-person perspective. Its gameplay is inspired by the Dark Souls series of games, and the animation is inspired by God Eater 3, also published by Bandai Namco.

Set in the near future, catastrophic strikes known as the Thorns of Judgement have wreaked havoc upon the world. In a closed-off city referred to as "Vein" vampiric revenants fight for and against one another over supplies of blood, risking their sanity and becoming feral creatures known as the "Lost" if they don’t consume enough of it.

The game was announced in April 2017 and was originally set to be released in September 2018, until being delayed until September 26, 2019. The game's opening sequence was created by animation studio Ufotable.
