CODE VEIN Without The Boobs | AI LIMIT demo
1Hello everyone! We keep going with the demos from the Steam Next Fest. This is AI LIMIT, and notice that I play this some days ago, before the balance updates they have been released (they reworked the boss, now he has less HP and the range of his attacks are less BS, which is a great idea), so I am a bit sad, because I was so close to kill the final boss in the demo, but I just got tired of it xD.
Anyways, this game pretty much feels like CODE VEIN, but without the stamina system (oh yeah, and without the massive boobs), so, more than a soulslike is a hack & slash. The game has more than a few combat mechanics (light attack, heavy attack, special heavy attack, special special attack, some kind of secondary weapon, parry, roll, dodge, and probably more), but most of the time you will just use the attack and maybe the special (besides rolling). This game somehow reminded me to Lies of P, in the sense that you don't have any real combat training until you face the boss. Most of the enemies are just spam the attack key and kill, then you get to the actual boss and get destroyed (to be fair, I was so closed to kill him in my second attempt, but then got demoralized by the amount of HP). Also, there is a big enemy right at the start where you can spend a lot of time trying to kill him... But that's the gimmick, you destroy or get destroyed, reason why, more than bad, I found the game pretty meh (it was too easy or too punishing).
Also, some performance issues, and apparently I wasn't the only one, but hopefully they will fix it.
