For me personally, I am drawn to collecting the oddball and different. Many times, these are consoles that did not sell, were to too strange to be mainstream, or just were not marketed well. There are many challenges with collecting for something that did not sell. I try to go by what I call the "rule of 3" when pursuing failed consoles and portables.
