Combat Wings (Retro 2005) Ep 3: Missions 9 through 11 | I have torpedoes?!! But I am a B-17!
Welcome to Captain Chang Plays... Combat Wings, by City Interactive (2005).
This is an old WW2 flight game, and it took a bit of effort to get it working. I would not call this a sim, at best is "flight lite". It's also made by City Interactive (now known as CI Games) so their command of English is a bit weird at time.
The game is based on the US Navy's WW2, Pacific Campaign, centering around the fight over Midway Atoll against the Imperial Japanese Navy. It started in April 1942, and ended in June 1942, with about 20 missions.
The game is only $4.99, being that old.

This game did take some effort to get running on a modern system.
1) You need to RENAME or DELETE the movie in the "MOVIE" subdirectory in the game directory. Somehow that crashes the game.
2) If you have multiple monitors, this game does NOT capture the mouse on the primary monitor, and you need to deploy MouseJail by Dr. Hoiby
http://www.dr-hoiby.com/MouseJail/index.php
Else, if your mouse cursor move outside primary monitor, and you click, you will pause the game and task-switch out. This can be EXTREMELY annoying.
Anyway, the game is not very long, 3 hours at most, and there are 3 difficulty levels.I picked the easiest, and even then it can get a bit frustrating, until you figure out what to do. Anyway, let's try it, and pick out the weird parts. LOL.
