2,189Comic pros might be having a bleak Christmas this year, as it seems like half of the whole industry have decided to stop paying freelancers. Heavy Metal magazine is the latest to be outed as a deadbeat publisher, but they have some corporate guy "managing" the situation or something. This on top of Aftershock filing for Chapter 11, Action Lab being involved in a number of lawsuits, Valiant and IDW being on the skids, and rumors of impending layoffs from Dark Horse. But "it's raining money" guys! This is fine!
