Comic book pros are disproportionately angry about Kickstarter and Gumroad using blockchain and pondering NFTs. Some are SO angry they've taken to using the media to loudly and publicly throw Kickstarter under the bus... and promote their own alternatives. Which, incidentally, take payments from payment processors using blockchain.

So what is this REALLY about? We think it goes back to Kickstarter deciding that comics industry activists will no longer dictate the direction of the company. Being angry about blockchain and NFT was just the reason to pounce.
