This is all my personal opinions with what EA is doing with Command and Conquer.
So Generals 2 has successfully been replaced with what is now just Command & Conquer. Using the Frostbite 2 Engine it looks like a very promising title however i have one HUGE gripe. The game is to be released strictly as a Free To Play, Multiplayer ONLY title available for download.
Okay so 1st you get rid of the possibly one of the greatest sequals of all time in Generals 2 and replace it with this? No offence EA but this is bull shit! I didnt realise that potential Pay To win models were the future of the buisness.
Like many people i was hoping to see the following: A Single Player Campaign mode covering all the major factions of the game, The Return of Generals Challenges that require you to go toe to toe with different Generals with different play styles, strengths and weaknesses AND a multiplayer aspect that rivals that of Starcraft 2 with room for Mods and Custom game modes and maps. Instead we get a Multiplayer only model with DLC soon after its release and the potential of becoming Pay To Win.
Am I happy? No. Am I going to support this game? No and am I going to Get Heart of The Swarm Instead? YES!
