Command & Conquer Generals Modding - House and Team Colours
I've mentioned house colours in other videos, but not for skeletal meshes. It's a slightly different process so figured I would make a video on both processes.
For vehicles and structures, simply name the object you want to have house colours as 'HOUSECOLORxx' where 'xx' is a number.
For skeletal meshes the alpha layer on the texture functions as the house colour. Black is house colour, white is not. This means you can't have transparency on skeletal meshes. However you can also pull apart faces on the skeletal mesh and name them 'HOUSECOLORxx' for the same effect. I do not recommend that. Just use the texture, you get more detailing on it anyway because it's not limited by poly count.
