This is the first mission of the Soviet campaign of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. I played the heck out of Red Alert 2 as a kid, but this is a blind first play. The Empire of the Rising Sun (clearly a resurgent Imperial Japan brought about by Soviet meddling with the timeline) has attacked Leningrad as an opening gambit. If you know where Leningrad is (modernly called St. Petersburg), you know this is absurd, but then again the whole game is absurd. :P Though General Krukov (played by Andrew Divoff) thinks attempting to defend the city is foolhardy, Premiere Cherdenko (Tim Curry) orders a rookie commander (the player) to make the attempt anyway.
