There's a little trick so you can avoid the Medium Tanks. Head north with the Commando and take out the Grenadiers, then head back south and around. Head east and north across the bridge. You can take out the Mammoth that patrols if you like, or follow it. It isn't required for the objective.

If you follow the Mammoth it will lead you around their base and you can use the Artillery and Commando to take out units/structures, with the Rocket Soldiers to take out the three parked Mammoths - which are on sleep mode so won't respond at all.
Take out the War Factory too to finish the level.
The Commando isn't really needed for this level as the Artillery can deal with infantry - the commando just makes it easier.
