Commander Keen, Defender of Earth has destroyed some of the deadly Tantalus rays on the Vorticon mothership orbiting Earth, but there are still several more to go. Will he be able to reach them all before the Earth explodes?

This middle game of the trilogy has some unique quirks, like soda cans being solid from the top (which doesn't just affect the player) and robots that walk up walls and act as platforms. The Standard Galactic Alphabet also appears rather more extensively than in the first game, so having a key to reading it is proving somewhat informational, if far from essential.
