RTC was based in Richmond Hill and they sold PET's and all sorts of things much like a hardware store, yes, you could get a V-Link IEEE interface for your Vic-20 and pick up a new element for your stove at the same time!
Anyway, when the Vic and the Commodore 64 came out, lots of people with IEEE disk drives did nto want to go out and spend tons more money on a new disk drive and thus, a number of devices appeared on the market to allow teh 4040's and others work on the new machines.
They also often added basic 4.0 and other features as well.
I found this in the garage and have been dying to give it a try!
