This video is part of the Aspect Self-compassion Program for Autistic Adults (ASPAA).
There are many ways to meditate. Compassionate body scan is one type of meditation that not only allows us to develop our mindfulness, it also helps us to be more compassionate towards our bodies.
In this video, Ru (pronoun: she/her) will guide you through the compassionate body scan. The compassionate body scan may be hard for those of us that are sensitive to touch. If this is you, then you can skip this practice. You may also like to give this practice a try, and decide if it suits you after practising. It’s okay if you decide this practice is not for you. Remember, listen to your body.
