Condemned: Criminal Origins was released as an Xbox 360 launch exclusive on November 22, 2005. It was developed by Monolith Productions (RIP) who are famous for the FEAR and Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor series -- it was published by Sega.

Let's jump straight in - we play as Ethan Thomas, who is an FBI agent assigned to check out a murder. With a bit of his own incompetence, a stray psychopath, and some really incompetent police, we are soon framed for the murder of two policemen, and we are on the run.

Condemned is mostly about the hand-to-hand combat, which is done pretty darn well considering its 2005 release. The enemy AI is also very advanced, especially for the time.
