Complete in Box Plays - Dracula: The Resurrection - Part 1
We're continuing our trend of bringing you Only The Best Games (tm) by venturing to the PS1 for the point and click 'horror(?)' game, Dracula: The Resurrection.
So, yeah, late 90s graphics and all that. The voice acting obviously is terrible, and the characters move in an odd way, but I have to say that overall the presentation of this game is absolutely top-notch. The fact that you can move around at every area in a full 3-dimensional way is amazing.
The game itself is like most adventure games - find an item, figure out how to use it. This one is particularly complicated for two reasons: 1) oftentimes, areas are opened up by talking to characters are doing certain events (at least, early game), and 2) the items you have to pick up are not obviously marked at all (see: slingshot behind the cross)
I realize these games were meant to take time, but I don't know how you would figure this one out without a FAQ. Our recording software messed up halfway through the sit-down, so we'll be back with a second sit down for part 2!
