Growl is an obscure Sega Genesis game where you play as some obvious Indiana Jones knock-offs, and fight animal poachers. It's made by Taito in the early 90s, so of course, it's a hard-to-find game, but... is it good?

Surprisingly, yes, it is. Although it is pretty strange that there is no multiplayer mode (it's available in the arcade version), the game holds up pretty well. It's very easy for beat-em-up games to become very boring, very quick, and although Growl isn't a long game, it's varied enough throughout to be pretty fun and unique.

Bet you didn't see that final boss coming! (nobody in the world did). Enjoy!
