0The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.
We start with the KING of the monsters. GODZILLA - what a terror, what a menace - what a ... puzzle game. It's on the Game Boy, so it's got to be a puzzle game! I will fully admit I'm pretty bad at puzzle games, but the fact that the objective isn't clear -on the first level- is one of those 'play for 3 minutes one time ever' kind of games. Cute but NEXT!
Out of Gas is an obscure --- wait for it --- puzzle game (whaaaat?!) in which you uh, pick up gas. I love the opening cinematics --- and to be fair, the game actually controls very well. It's just another puzzle game that gets tiresome after 5 minutes. That's the Game Boy for you - enjoy!
