As many have heard, Gamestop has been falling on some rough times recently. Their stock price plummeted, they have been closing some stores, and the CEO just recently resigned. What has caused this?
The answer may seem simple, but it actually has a lot of moving parts and poor decisions made over a span of 10 years. We are joined by Mike Finch and RJ Robledo, both former Gamestop employees, to discuss the rise and fall of Gamestop. As some may know, I also worked at Gamestop, but longer ago than our two guests.
This is a two part event, and we are really excited about how the discussion turned out. A lot of really cool info, much of which I was even unaware of. In this part, we discuss what Gamestop once was, how things were when we each first started at Gamestop, what conditions devolved to, the expectations of each employee, and the job security at Gamestop.
