Computer Chess - Stockfish 2.11 and Houdini 1.5a versus Komodo 3
A side by side comparaison, 2 games, same number of moves, same openning C8, Komodo 3 playing black in both case, but 2 different results.
If you are a chess master (or higher), feel free to comment. I've also PGN file of these 2 games if you want to take a look on the time used and their thinking.
Houdini 1.5a is considered the strongest free chess engine around. I personaly consider Komodo 3 as the second free strongest ex-quo with Fire xTrem, but there is a whole debate on the subject in forums actually. Stockfish was my favorite free chess engine for the last 2 years, but time changed.
Why I've done this video? I think chess masters might find interesting to compare the 2 games and try to find the key movement that kinda decide "win" or "lose". And I'm fascinated by computer chess programs and I want to program one eventually, even if I'm not a good chess player myself. I don't expect to program any chess engine as strong as these 3, but I can dream.
