“Tears From The Moon” is a song that combines a melancholic atmosphere with electronic production, and Tiësto's remix gives it a clubby, trance feel.

The song was written by a “dream team” of hit songwriters: Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg, whose credits include “Like a Virgin” by Madonna and “True Colors” by Cindy Lauper, so you could say that “Tears From The Moon” is “pop pedigree in trance disguise.”

Tiësto's version has become one of his most recognizable remixes, regularly appearing on sets and compilations from the “In Search of Sunrise” series.
The original appeared on the debut album by Conjure One, a project by Rhys Fulber, known from Delerium and Front Line Assembly.

Sinéad O'Connor, known for her poignant voice and hit “Nothing Compares 2 U,” gave the song a unique emotional depth.
Tiësto's remix was widely played at major trance festivals.

CONJURE ONE (Rhys Fulber):
Canadian producer and composer, formerly known from Delerium and Front Line Assembly. His solo project Conjure One is a combination of electronica, world music and pop – his debut album (2002) brought him recognition among fans of ambient and trance. Rhys Fulber has collaborated with many vocalists (including Poe and Sinéad O'Connor), and his productions are characterized by a “cinematic” atmosphere and rich arrangements.
Compared to other artists, he can be considered an “electronic alchemist” – combining pop sensibility with club energy.

SINÉAD O'CONNOR:
Irish singer, icon of alternative pop and Celtic music. Her breakthrough came with the album “I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got” (1990) with the hit “Nothing Compares 2 U.” Known for her unique voice and uncompromising personality, she has collaborated with many artists from the electronic scene, including Moby and Asian Dub Foundation.
Her contribution to “Tears From The Moon” is an example of how the artist can give a trance song depth and authenticity.

TIËSTO:
Dutch DJ and producer, one of the most influential figures in trance and EDM music. The “In Search of Sunrise” compilation series (1999–2008) defined the sound of progressive trance in the early 21st century. His remix of “Tears From The Moon” is one of his flagship tracks from that period, alongside classics such as “Adagio for Strings” and “Flight 643.”
