In the late 1980s, Väth co-founded the legendary nightclub Omen in Frankfurt. Väth's residency at Omen cemented his reputation as a tastemaker and innovator, pushing the boundaries of electronic music. His sets were known for their extended length, hypnotic rhythms, and seamless blending of genres.

Gained fame as part of OFF (with Michael Münzing) and Barbarella*, producing Eurodance hits like "Electrica Salsa" (1986). Later pivoted to harder techno with albums like *Accident in Paradise (1992).

Founded the influential trance label Eye Q with Heinz Roth and Matthias Hoffmann in 1991, later dissolving it to pursue purer techno visions.

Väth launched Cocoon, initially as a series of events in Ibiza. Cocoon quickly evolved into a global brand, encompassing a record label, events, and a club in Frankfurt. Cocoon Recordings became a platform for both established and emerging artists, showcasing a diverse range of electronic music. Cocoon events in Ibiza became legendary, drawing thousands of partygoers and solidifying Väth's status as a global icon.

Väth's DJ sets are characterized by dynamism and unpredictability. He seamlessly blends various styles, from minimal techno to house and trance, creating a hypnotic and immersive experience.
