Console Racing Driving Games of 1993 - Outlander
“Outlander” was initially released on the Genesis in 1992 but was later ported to the SNES in 1993. Developed and published by Mindscape International, its SNES release occurred in Germany and the United States.
“Outlander” is a post-apocalyptic action driving game with a “Mad Max” feel. Players must fend off biker gangs, gyrocopters, and trucks. You have access to a shotgun when an enemy vehicle is alongside your car, as well as front-mounted machine guns on your car. In addition to the driving sections of the game, it also features side-scrolling beat-'em-up sections.
These beat-'em-up sections take place in various towns that you pass through. Refuelling your car occurs in these towns, and you can find additional parts and weapons for your car there as well.
