Do you want to avoid getting dumped in Act 3 by correctly continuing your vampiric romance in Act 2? You have come to the right place. There are two ways to do it, but this video covers only the "longer" route. I have also included all conversations as well as approvals & disapprovals from Act 2 in case you need to raise your rating since this option requires at least High/Very High approval (not sure which one). FYI I am doing a "good" playthrough.

Keep in mind that if you fail to get the "confession" scene in Act 2 (for Dark Urge another DU-specific scene also works), Astarion will break up with you in Act 3. There are two versions of the scene and either one or the other will play depending on the route you take. To get the scene you have to go to Moonrise Towers before(!) entering Shadowfell in the Gauntlet of Shar. If you enter Shadowfell first, you will get locked out. Don't say the game didn't warn you though.

So, first, short option - you can just straight up go to Moonrise Towers, find Araj, talk to her and then take Long Rest. Easy.

Second, longer option - you have to complete Astarion's personal quest by fulfilling the deal with Raphael. Then you have to go to Moonrise Towers and Long Rest before talking to Araj. An alternative scene will play. This is what we do here. (Note: some report having issues with Raphael quest after Patch 4, please check if your journal updated correctly after the Mausoleum encounter, I recommend making a save before).

FAQ: Yes, you need to have started romance in Act 1, Act 2 is too late to start anything.
