Continuum Gaming E423: SFOS Update 4.6 went wrong and why a backup really helps
6This was a little bit of a ride... in general updates are very straight forward and run smoothly. I did them very often now without any problems over about 3 years now, but this time around it was not as smooth and I decided to even reflash my phone at the end to make it work nicely again.
So in this video I am going to show you a little about how it came to it and I'd like to remind you to make backups and keep them (even if they are a little older) at a different place. (SD card, copy them to you laptop/desktop or use nextcloud or something like that).
You might not need them, but it will make it MUCH more easy for you if something goes wrong.

..BUT I would only use this for the recovery image file, since this is flashed afterwards anyway and would not use this version anymore to flash your real operation system with it!

Anyway with the recovery mode and a backup, it was pretty easy to set everything up and running again. Without, it would take a lot longer and without the recovery mode or a recent backup you would loose data.
