We all knew this day ways coming: Microsoft recently shut down the Windows 10 Mobile store for the Lumia 950 XL and other Windows 10 mobile smartphones.
So is it over now? If you have a Laptop and don't shy away from the process I show you in this video the answer is:
No it isn't. ;)
It is a little harder but you can still relatively easy get downloads from the store and I will show you how to in this video.
This is the process:
1.) You need an app link for instance from one of my video descriptions or by searching for it on the web version of the Windows store.
2.) Go to this website and copy it in: https://store.rg-adguard.net/ – get the direct, official download links from the store.
3.) Search for the right version (in general the name should contain "_arm_" (not arm64). Download all the appx files.
4.) Transfer them from your computer to your smartphone.
5.) Go to the file browser on the smartphone and start with the "smaller" dependency files. Install them one after another.
6.) Install the app itself.
7.) You should be able to run the app, if it was designed to work on W10(m). :)
Info: Since these downloads / appx files are even from the store, you do not even need to switch to side loading for this process.
These are the officially supported apps from the Microsoft Store and like that should work non-the-less. :)
