So this is basically one of four sets of Contra Hard Corps for Sega. And it uses the HP restoration patch here: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/797/

That also restores the max lives selection option. This patch pretty much restores all the Japanese removed features but anyway.

I started with technically the "Worst route" which is going after Dead Eye Joe and Surrendering. A lot of stages carry over but a lot does change depending on what you do, making for unique routes each time. I consider it the "Worst route" as while you do win, you ultimately die in the end.
