This was a game I got quite awhile ago for one of my birthday's, by getting it via using eshop gift cards. (Which was basically a solid gift method if I couldn't think of much they could get or they couldn't find what I was looking for.)

Anyway, this is extensively one of the best Contra Clones out there that uses a few staples of Contra but also does enough of it's own thing that it's hardly a pure copy cat that has to stand on the shoulders of the OG to be relevant. This stands on it's own two legs alongside Contra. I did some stage restarts but not a lot. And yeah, you have two characters of each type. The typical Contra type and the semi melee type. I went with the most typical route in the game as you can also play in any order, but I chose the order listed as it makes the most sense mostly.

A lot of memorable sections and locales here along with some fun mechanics.
