Welcome! To Let's play Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim – gameplay, part 4! Boat from the last episode of Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim was not exactly a proper ship but rather a raft. We need to fix this! But for that we will need help from Tomasu. He is the son of the great ship builder – the one we got our raft plans from.
Tomasu according to the old man from our home island is been held captive at the nearby island of Dune. We need to use the raft in order to get there.
The sea in Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim is full of derby from other ships and cargo. As well as empty ships of unknown origin swimming around. However keep in mind to stay on the ship and do not swim on open sea! The sharks in Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim are instant death! You can’t fight them, they will just eat You so stay on the raft no matter what! Keep going south sooner or later we should arrive at the Dune Island.
The derby on the sea can hold some useful resources for crafting so it’s always a good idea to smash them with our own ship in order to get some.
After getting to Dune island we get greeted by a bandit, the same bandits from our home is-land. Tomasu is here! In a cage but he is all right. The cage where Tomas is been hold is lock behind a heavy door. I won’t be able to break them so we have to go around. Now the Dune Island is full of bandits and secured doors. We will have or to sneak our way around or deal with every bandit there is for some unknow reason bandits in Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim work with the undead.
After getting pass the first locked gate – for whitch we need to fix the mechanism as the gear is missing. We walk straight in to another patrol of bandits. The Bandits so far are sapareted in to three types. A standard bantis with spear and shield with a throwing attack, a tall bandit with Egypt thame sword, throwing bombs at us – whitch you can intercept mid air if You throw something at it at the same time. Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim is just full of cool physics combat and the last one is a bandit with a big tower shield with a ground shake attack.
After dealing with the patrols and blowing our way through the mine tunnels we found out there are no only bandits on the Dune island. But also undead and deadly plants that we need to deal with aswell. The future we go in to the mines the more enemy's spawn.
A good idea for combat in Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim is to use the throw ability of Tyrim. Throwing objects at the enemy or even scoring a head-shot will end the fight quickly without too much stress. One of the rooms in the Dune Mines is a great example of said com-bat as we are easily outnumber by the bandits and undead. There is a elevator located in the middle of Dune Island that will probably lead under the prison of Tomasu. But to activate the elevator we need three gears to fix it and we can’t make one ourselves. In general Cornerstone - The Song of Tyrim on the Dune island the idea is to move slowly forward and if possible deal with enemy's in one on one combat. If not kite them around throwing rocks on there heads.
