Welcome everybody! To Let's Play #Subnautica! Season 2, Part 15! If You have ever played Subnautica on its early patches then You could get use to the fact that the cyclops was al-ways in the building menu. There was never need to scan this vehicle in Subnautica, now however its not the case.
In order to build the cyclops You will not only need high advance materials but also You need to search for its fragments. Cyclops is in total made out of three blueprints - Bridge, Engine and Hull. Each part of the Cyclops in Subnautica is made out of tree fragments. This in total gives You nine fragments to scan in Subnautica before You will be able to build the Cyclops.
There are in Subnautica specific places to look for parts, best bet is to search for wrecks add-ed in previous patch. Wrecks are a good source of fragments for most of the blueprints in Subnautica. You may say this episode is a little bit of a guide where to find the Cyclops frag-ments in Subnautica, also You must remember that Cyclops fragments won’t appear as white big boxes, those will be actual fragments – destroyed parts of a cyclops. Another important thing is that it is advice to look for the cyclops fragments in a seamoth to make things a bit more faster.
Frist on the list is the Cyclops Hull fragments Grassy Plateaus also know as the red Grass bi-ome. If You travel south from the starting location on the opposite side of the Aurora You should find a Grassy plateaus with a wreck in it. Near that wreck You should find a lot of seamoth fragments and a bit future around Cyclops Hull Fragments. Remember that the Grassy Plateau is full of sand sharks and they will attack You if You will scan the Hull frag-ments too close to them.
second part of the cyclops is the Bridge. Bridge Fragments can be found more to the south from the Grassy Plateau wreck with the hull fragments. Here in the Dunes of Subnautica You will find another wreck with Cyclops Bridge fragments around it. There is right now no big predators in the Dunes so scanning those should be easier then scanning the Cyclops hull.
If You get lost from location the Dune Wreck, go to the surface You need to have both the aurora and the island in Your view. If You do then You are in the right place. The Bridge fragments look a bit like the round door-hatch to Your sea – Base.
As I was searching for more Cyclops fragments I found that the new models of power sources in Subnautica are in the game, but require a re-scanned blueprint. The Bio reactor and the atomic reactor are in the game with new models. So I advice for You to pick them aswell as You will be searching for Cyclops fragments.
Another new device in Subnautica is the Scanner room. This place will deploy little robots with the possibility to search and scan for resources along with marking them on the map for future gathering. This is useful especially as the new vehicles like the Cyclops need a lot of rare resources.
Last fragment of the Cyclops blueprint is the Engine. I think this one is the easier to find in Subnautica. What You need to do is travel next to the Aurora from the starting location. Hav-ing the Aurora on Your right, sooner or later You should get to a little island. Dive next to it and You should find a lot of Cyclops Engine fragments. This is also the only Fragment that is not found next to a wreck, but the island is easier to spot, as its location is always the same in Subnautica next to the Aurora. After collecting all fragments of the cyclops Bridge, Engine and Hull the Cyclops blueprint will unlock.
