If you have seen some of my board game videos in the past, you know that Cosmic Encounter is far and away my absolute favorite game. I'm a huge fan and have made several videos about it in the past.
Some people have asked me about the alien powers. With all the expansions from Fantasy Flight, not to mention a decades-long history, there's a LOT to choose from. What works, what doesn't?
In this series, every time I'll introduce a set of 5 alien powers that work well around a theme and/or game mechanic to make for some very interesting (sometimes confusing!) gameplay. In this video I talk about powers that can drastically alter the course of a game by changing the central point - how to win. Whether they have their own personal win condition that can be leveraged or change the base condition for all players, there's sure to be some significant chaos abound!
