One thing that I really tend to dislike in media (whether TV, movies, games, etc.) is when the people responsible for making said media take a lazier approach by applying something where it doesn't belong. In the case of board games, we somewhat frequently see IP being re-used in contexts that don't make a lot of sense. A new game with the skin of the old one without being directly relevant to the other. Theme and art are most commonly the aspects that remain similar, but are they similar enough?

As always, I'm curious what you all think about this. It's something that bugs me a little bit, though not much, but does tend to feel like a company cash grab and/or not wanting to invest in new IP. What say all of you on the topic?
