When the Sly Cooper movie trailer was released, fans immediately realized that Sly’s voice didn’t sound the same. In fact, Sly was voiced by Ian James Corlett in the trailer. In 2014, there was a podcast with Kevin Miller. During the podcast, the voice actor shared his thoughts on the whole situation.

When fans first found out about Sly not being voiced by Kevin Miller, they got upset and some took it the wrong way. When producing a movie, studios want the movie to capture an audience, what better way to do that than cast a very well-known voice actor?

Now the Sly Cooper move trailer was released in 2014. Two years have passed therefore, there’s still time to re-cast. Why would they re-cast you might ask? Well, the Ratchet & Clank movie, having celebrities as voice actors, failed. Even if a movie has celebrity voice actors, it doesn’t guarantee success.

The Sly Cooper movie is currently in development according to Rainmaker, will Sony decide to hire Kevin Miller? This guy has voiced Sly Cooper in every single game, why not? Why not give it a chance?
