Could You Use ROG Ally Handheld As A Gaming Laptop Or Desktop Replacement With Monitor & K & M?
Valves Steam Deck, especially with its OLED update, is often cited as king of the hand-helds, but it has a big short-coming - it's not a Windows PC, unlike the ROG Ally, which means that the handheld gaming PC from ASUS CAN become a desktop / laptop replacement.
The Ally Z1 that I've been lucky enough to have been lent for a couple of weeks is the non-extreme version, so it really needs to be set to 720p to get the best performance out of it, so on a 24" monitor the graphics are a little soft, but definitely usable and playable.
In fact I'd even suggest that depending on your budget, and the price compared to gaming laptops and desktops, the Asus Rog Ally could be a genuine way into PC gaming for those who previously only used Consoles like the Xbox & PlayStation.
Thanks, Rob.
