You can switch out Joo for Arius but it's entirely up to you.
I actually got a 3* time earlier with Arius here instead of Joo but forgot to record so had to exit...
Seems very rng dependant as you need the Arius shield to protect Claudia from the first missile barrage but I wasnt able to manage it again. Joo is more consistent as can guarantee his counter keeps them alive at least once which saves DP if you need to redeploy after deaths.
The trick that kept my Hilde alive here was actually to give her my Yuna gear (Maze CDR) as she can refresh her shield more reliably than she can be healed through the damage. By now you've probably realised but her lvl 5 ultimate is required.
Every other character here has just a flat 30% cdr set aside from Xiao with cdmg gear.
