Hey everyone and welcome to GamerU. In this video we’re going to take a look at some of the more advanced combat mechanics in CounterSpy.
As mentioned in the Basic Combat video, stealth and melee kills are a great way to conserve ammo and avoid combat. An even better way to avoid combat is to perform a stealth takedown from cover. To do this, just wait for an enemy to walk by while you are in cover. When they get close, the SQUARE button prompt will appear on screen and you can take him out without risking detection.
Another way to take down an enemy with stealth is by hanging from a ledge and waiting for them to approach. When they get close, press the SQUARE button and you will pull them off of the ledge.
One of the more difficult actions to perform is the grenade throwback. The action itself is easy to perform, but there are usually a couple other enemies firing at you at the same time. This can make things chaotic. You need to be on the look out for the grenade prompt that will appear on screen. Once it appears, press the SQUARE button to pick up the grenade and throw it back.
In the later missions of the game you will come across cameras with an orange light instead of a green one. These cameras are armored and can only be taken out with certain weapons. An easy way to destroy these is to use The Treaty Violator and shoot the gel onto the camera. Then, switch to a pistol and shoot the gel to destroy the camera.
Alright, that covers some of the advanced combat mechanics in the game. Thanks for watching and keep it tuned to GamerU for more tips on CounterSpy.
