Sometimes the color you get is not going to be the one you need. The common approach would be to throw the bubble where it doesn't get in the way.

But there's something else you can do. In the lower left corner you can see the bubble dispenser. Just tap on it and your character will switch bubbles.

This is very useful since you may need an specific color to clear a big area in your next move.

And the more bubbles you have at the end of a level, the more points you get.

There's also a Triple Switch Boost you can buy. This one will give you the ability to change your bubble between two more.

This can be very useful in longer levels, where you may need many different colors to rescue a baby or pop lots of bubbles.

So be sure to observe the screen carefully, since you may be able to pop more bubbles with a different color.

But if you notice this after throwing the ball, don't need to worry, there's an "Undo Boost" you can use to repeat your latest move. It really comes in handy in harder levels.
