Hey everyone and welcome to GamerU. In this video I’m going to be going over the cover system in CounterSpy and giving a few tips on how to best use it.

Cover is a huge part of CounterSpy’s gameplay and you’ll be using it a lot. Every time you enter a new area, the first thing you should do is look for the closest place to take cover. To enter cover, press the CIRCLE button while near a cover position and your character will press up against the wall. Also, if you hold the CIRCLE button, you will do a dodge roll and automatically go into cover if there is an area nearby. While in cover, you’ll have an opportunity to survey the area and locate any enemies or cameras. This is essential because it can sometimes be difficult to tell where enemies are due to the 2D look of the game. But when you’re in cover, you get a 3D perspective and you can better map out your plan of attack. In addition to scoping out the area, you can also fire your weapon or even melee attack enemies from cover. Like I said, using cover is essential and you’ll be using it throughout the entire game so it’s a good idea to figure out the best ways to use it as early as possible.
