COVID-19: No Work, No Food, Say Labourers Who Stayed Back In Kolkata
On March 24, PM Modi announced a nationwide lockdown, asking 1.3 billion Indians to stay home for 21 days to slow the spread of #COVID19. The Posta market in Kolkata which employs more than 6,000 labourers, have only 350 now. Thousands and thousands left for their home at the neighbouring state of Bihar and other parts of Bengal. Those left behind are struggling to make ends meet.
