CPMusic: Field of Ghosts - Goodbye, My Love (Legacy)
0The legacy version of "Goodbye, My Love," with updated instrument sounds and minor fixes. Part 5 of my second composition (originally called "Eternal Darkness," now called "Field of Ghosts"), written in April of 2010 during my time at Whatcom Community College.
"Goodbye, My Love" is one of only a few parts out of its original composition that, when it is eventually upgraded (edited & expanded, as opposed to the mere minor update heard here), will see few major changes in terms of major additions or subtraction. In fact, when I think of the full orchestral version of this song in my head, it's pretty much just this with more instruments & harmonies. This song managed escaped the creation of "Eternal Darkness" without the major flaws that brought the melodies in other parts down. While it's not my favorite of the series, as I prefer many of the other melodies & ideas , it is one of the few that I can look back on without cringing at all the mistakes I made.
