Since Diamond Pickaxe are unable to break Adamantite and Palladium nodes, it reminds me that I used to utilize "mining bomb" from atelier lulua / atelier lydie (not sure which one) to breaks the source nodes. This one should be good enough just to clear some nodes in Lv 6+ Island in case you want to build a place but there's Adamantite or Palladium node on it.

In craftopia, you could make Explosive Barrels from workbench or you could farm it from Desert Biome, the other alternatives are to steal them from Skull Goblin Camps in any biome.
