This is Cranky's theme from Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 with lyrics added. It's been a while since I've done one of these. I can't be the only one who never cared for Cranky as a character, right? I get that the point is that he's cranky, and he's an old man who grumbles and wishes for the simpler days of arcade games, but if anything, he has even less of a valid argument than most old people yelling at clouds do. Like, dude, you had four freaking screens and you stood in place moving your arms up and down. You really expect me to believe for a second that developers have gone soft by giving you improved sound and graphical quality, meaningful progress through levels, and more precise controls; that you as a player could get 100% completion in under 1 hour without dying; and that you could get over 30 great games in 1981 that were 128 kilobytes each? (Heck, that might actually be an overestimate; the original Mega Man was that size, while the original Super Mario Bros. was only 40 KB, and both were a heck of a lot more interesting than the original Donkey Kong.)
