This. Took. Forever. I think about 6 hours over multiple days.
The culprit was the Bonus Round (again). Some crazy person decided to put two Bounce Crates and a Golden Wumpa Crate under three NITROs. I spent a long time just practicing and testing how many of these Wumpas were possible. The most I ever got in testing from those three crates was 41 (missing 4), and that run was probably a 1 in 100 attempt. I am not sure how many of those missing 4 are possible. If more are possible, I feel the odds would be astronomical, but maybe someone better than me can do it similar to how I did it, or find another strat. Bless the poor soul that would ever try to get 100% here.
Because of the incredibly low odds of me getting 41 in a full run, I allowed myself 5 attempts at the Bonus before I reset the run. So you can imagine my nerves when I got 41 in the very first Bonus attempt of this run. I was shaking throughout the rest of the level and the fact I managed to push through and claim the Perfect Relic was a miracle. I honestly very rarely, if ever, felt a rush like the one I did when I hit the finish of this run.
The pressure was even more insane when you know you have to carry the Aku Aku almost to the end of the level. This is because you need to sacrifice it at 4:00 otherwise 2 Wumpa near the TNTs will explode.
I played it so safe (for my standards) once I finished the Bonus and am so happy I did.
Also I don't know why but the console version (at least the PS4) has different 40/60/80% Wumpa values, even though it still has a max of 1,001. Those are listed above.
What is the Max Wumpa Challenge?
Since this game has fixed Wumpa values for each crate, and since the demo originally included Max Wumpa counters for each level, I decided to take on the challenge to try and get every Wumpa in this game.
I'm going to spoil it right now and say it is unfortunately impossible, so the aim will be to get as many as I possibly can. Also because I'm insane, I am going for Perfect Relics and timing how fast I do it, however speedrunning is not the main focus. As I make it to later levels expect runs to become more casual in nature as I don't want to go too crazy lol.

Thanks to ADMGHX for looking into the game files for me to find the 40%/60%/80%/100% Wumpa values so I can check that my own findings are correct! In some cases I still found a couple discrepancies but I will go into detail for the relevant levels.
