How to access: I tried methods seen on YouTube, they didn't do crap. But for me, with Cheat Engine, finding with search and modifying address "00B02190" to "28" as HEX or just put it to 40, then entering a level and quitting moved Crash to the level portal with ePSXe 1.9.0. NOTE: Only Whole Hog (32), Lights Out (29) and Fumbling In The Dark (28) seem to work with this method.
