Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back playthrough Part 2
Finishing level 3 Hang Eight, this time time to grab the box breaking Gem. You'll ride on a surfboard thing in this watery area,be careful as you work your way past mines and whirlpools. Use that boost carefully. You'll need the Blue Gem from Turtle Woods to reach another path for all boxes here. Level 4 is called The Pits. Similar to stage 1 in design. The path branches halfway through the level, you'll need to go down both paths for all crates here. Go left 1st though to hit a switch, and for the Crystal. Be careful backtracking,it's easy to forget where stuff is and die on the way back. Crash Dash is the 5th and final stage of this floor, and it's the first chase stage. Start running, because Crash is gonna have to get away from several huge boulders throughout the stage! Land mines will slow you down but won't kill you,but electrical fences will. Oh and for the Gem here, you'll need to break every normal crate yourself,it doesn't count if the boulder breaks it. This is probably the hardest of the first stages. After you find all 5 crystals on this floor, you'll face the first boss of the game. BOSS FIGHT: Ripper Roo. Yep,he's back from the first game, and he's incredibly easy. He'll hop around making TNT crates in the floor in a pattern, then detonate them. Then he'll hop around and make Nitro crates instead, when those explode and he stuns himself, that's your chance to attack him. Do that 2 more times and he's done for, just make sure you always have enough room to be clear of any explosions.
