Having collected five out of twenty-five power crystals for Cortex, Crash heads to the next warp room, being attacked by reformed Ripper Roo who is looking to avenge his previous defeat. After defeating Roo yet again, Crash reaches the second warp room where he is contacted by Cortex who explains his supposed plan to stop the global cataclysm to Crash with Crash's younger sister Coco managing to briefly hack into Cortex's holographic communication device in order to warn Crash that he shouldn't trust Cortex...
