This is the first racing level, but it feels a lot different from the motorcycle levels of Crash 3, let alone the entirety of Crash Team Racing. There's absolute no fire, here, but it does take place in a hot western desert, so I guess that can kinda count...?

Crash uses the same jeep he used into Jungle Rumble to race again the first four bosses of Crash 3, that is Tiny Tiger, Dingodile, N. Tropy, and N. Gin. Like Crash 3's motor levels, get 1st Place to get the level's Crystal.

However, this level is annoying since it's hard to get both that Crystal and the crate Gem in one sitting. The jeep doesn't steer good the fast it moves, and you can go back. Also, the "bottomless" pits here kill you outright and make you start the whole race over again instead of letting you respawn nearby the pit you fell in.

So anyway, with that said, I first go after the Gem, then afterwards, I get the Crystal. Even if you didn't get the Crystal at the end of the race, you'll be taken out of the level anyway if you did at least get the Gem. It think it IS possible to get both at once, it's just very hard to do, or at least for me...

So I'm saving you guys A LOT of loading time by skipping through all of that between the two times I go through this level in this video. Consider it an extra courtesy,
