The second of this game's game types is called "Polar Push". Despite that, all of them instead have the word "Panic" in their names.

A Polar Push game will have everyone riding on their own Polar. They are to joust against each other in an effort to push their opponents off the ice and into the frigid waters below.

This is one of the few game types where your character usage matters, because this can affect the Charge move they have with how much strength they put into it and how much meter they lose from it:

Bandicoots (Crash & Coco): A simple leap forward. Cost 50% of meter.

Doctors (Cortex & Brio): A jet pack boost. Costs their entire meter!

Bruisers (Tiny & Kong): An aggressive gallop. Cost about 75% of meter.

Hybrids (Dingo & Roo): A tail spin boost. Costs about 60% of meter.

If you're teetering on the edge, just mash Square button to pull yourself up. However, if you've been push TOO fast towards the edge, you'll just instantly fall.

The last player standing on the ice wins, unless time runs out first.
----------

A unique gimmick of Polar Panic in particular is that the edges of the ices are caked with a higher layer of ice that needs to broken off before you can send an opponent towards them.

There is also a robot floating round that will occasionally shoot a red beam downward. This can either be good or bad because:

You shrink for a few seconds.

You GROW for a few seconds.

You get tagged with a Weight. After a few seconds, you will instantly get flatten and die. So tag it off to someone else.

You get tagged with Lightning. After a few seconds, everyone else gets zapped and cooked, letting you freely knock them off the ice without any resistance for a few more seconds. Make sure you keep this tag AWAY from your opponents!
